Step 1 — Create a PDF template (You can ignore this if you are using the default template)
- Go to PDF Templates in your WordPress admin menu.
- Click New Template and design your PDF with the drag-and-drop builder. Use merge tags to insert Forminator field values.
- Publish the template.
Step 2 — Activate the integration (one time only)
- Go to Forminator > Integrations.
- Find PDF Templates in the list and click Activate.
Step 3 — Connect a PDF template to your form
- Edit your form in the Forminator form builder.
- Open the Integrations tab in the right-hand menu.
- Click the plus (+) button next to YeePDF Templates.
- Configure the options below and click Save:
- PDF Template – the template to generate for this form (required).
- File Name – the name of the generated file, without extension. Leave empty to auto-generate. Merge tags are supported, e.g.
invoice-{form_id},{form_name},{submission_id},{date}, or any form field tag like{name-1}. - Password Protection – encrypt the PDF with a password. Leave empty for no password. Merge tags are supported.
- Save a copy to Dropbox – upload each generated PDF to your connected Dropbox account. This option is only available after you connect Dropbox under PDF Templates > Settings.
That’s it. From now on, every submission of this form generates a PDF from the chosen template and attaches it to the form’s email notifications.
To stop attaching the PDF, open the same Integrations tab and click Deactivate on the PDF Templates connection.
